Business Class Jetsetter 🌺 ( @Business Class Jetsetter 🌺 ) has his #charityevent This is where I drop off toiletries and school supplies for the homeless kids. They use to be in tents but Gov Ige made this shelter happen! Family shelter open in Kakaako The state’s new shelter was converted from a gardening equipment shed. It’s partitioned to sleep 50 people, or about 15 families. It will temporarily house homeless families while they are being connected to services and long-term housing by Catholic Charities Hawaii’s social service specialists. The shelter, to be operated by Catholic Charities Hawaii, is a low-barrier facility that will operate 24/7. Guests will not be required to have identification, which is a key obstacle for many people experiencing homelessness.
