Pureformetraining ( @Pureformetraining

I post on this a lot, but it’s worth repeating and breaking it down. Listening to your body (when it comes to working out). It’s time to workout and you just aren’t feeling it. Sound familiar?
#1-Is it a physical “not feeling it”, meaning are you about to get your period, on your period, sore from a previous workout, feeling sick or getting over an illness, etc?
#2- Or is it a mental, “not feeling it”, meaning you’d rather just lay on the couch, watch tv, and shove snacks in your mouth. #isthereanythingbetter
Here’s my suggestions: •In scenario #1, I would opt for some light stretching or a leisurely walk. Take it easy but still try and move your body in a GENTLE and STRESS REDUCING way. •In scenario #2, I would tell you to put down the chips, get up and start moving. Start with a 30 minute fast paced walk. You will probably find that your motivation returns and you’ll end up ready to exercise. And if nothing else, you walked. #smallwins
But more importantly! I would encourage you to rethink traditional “exercise”. What type of movement would you be so happy to do that it is the highlight of your day. For some of you in might be found in the gym, but for others it may look more like a dance class, trail running with a friend, swimming, a pick up game of adult soccer, riding your bike.
Find your #joymovement and do it as often as possible!
