That photo is from last summer - "Beach 2016". But maybe I should talk about Beach 2017 instead. Or beach 2018? 2019? 2027? Because every summer the same things starts - the anxiety of getting in shape for the beach season... and not for a lifetime.
Yeah, it's all about getting that "dream beach body" and we tend to use the most extreme ways of getting results fast. Swollen stomach? That's one of the most horrible things to have when it's time for the beach, and instead we have to have those toned abs. At the same time we don't want to be "too muscular", but still want to have that perfect body being skinny but not "too skinny", and ... of course having the perfect butt.
We are also supposed to have that tanned body, and sun kissed and salty hair in nice waves. Oh wow. We really have a lot to live up by!
I'm not going to lie and say I'm not thinking about being in shape for the beach, but I've learned a thing for the last two/three years - and that's having a balance with workout and health routines for and during summer, as I have the rest of the year. Instead of getting anxious about those 2 months of the year, and starving yourself and working out waaay too much, try to have balance in life and workout and eat healthy not only for the summer - but for a lifetime. Let's just focus on enjoying our beautiful summer time at the beach, without stress and anxiety of our bodies!❤️
